Valaciclovir HCl 500 mg.

Indications
- Herpes Zoster.
- Genital Herpes.
- Cold Sores (Herpes Labialis).

Dosage
Herpes Zoster: 1 gram 3 times daily for 7 days.
- Genital Herpes:
Initial Episodes: 1 gram twice daily for 10 days.
Recurrent Episodes: 500 mg twice daily for 3 days.
- Cold Sores (Herpes Labialis): 2 grams twice daily for 1 day.

Boxes of 1, 2, 3, 5 or 10 strips, each strip of 10 tablets.

Mechanism of action
1- Competitive inhibition of viral DNA polymerase.
2- Inactivation of the viral DNA polymerase.
3- Termination of the growing viral DNA chain.
