Composition
Each 1 ml contains Betaxolol HCl 5.6 mg (equivalent to 5 mg Betaxolol base).

Indications
Lowering intraocular pressure and treatment of ocular
hypertension and chronic open-angle glaucoma.

Dosage
One drop in the affected eye(s) twice daily.

Carton box containing a plastic dropper bottle of 5 ml

Mechanism of action
Betaxolol HCl, a cardioselective beta1 adrenergic receptor blocking agent, does not
have significant membrane-stabilizing (local anesthetic) activity and is devoid of intrinsic sympathomimetic action.
When instilled in the eye, Betoma ophthalmic solution has the action of reducing elevated as well as normal intraocular pressure, whether or not accompanied by glaucoma.

Special Populations
Usage in pregnancy and nursing mothers:
As with any drug, Betoma ophthalmic solution should be used by women who are pregnant or nursing only when the anticipated benefits outweigh the risks.
Pediatric Use:
Clinical studies to establish the safety and efficacy in children have not been performed.
