Composition
Each capsule contains 15 mg oxazepam.

Indications
- Anxiety disorders.
- Insomnia.

Dosage
- Mild to moderate anxiety with associated tension,
irritability and agitation: One capsule 3 or 4 times daily.
- Insomnia: One capsule one hour before going to bed.

Carton boxes containing 1, 2, 3 (AL/PVC) strips, each of 10 hard gelatin capsules.

Pharmacokinetics
- Absorption:
Oxazepam is readily absorbed when given orally, the peak concentrations in plasma
reached within 2-3 hours.
- Biotransformation:
Oxazepam is metabolized by direct conjugation with glucuronic acid to inactive metabolites (excreted in the urine). There is no induction of drug-metabolizing
enzymes with oxazepam, unlike many other benzodiazepines (Cytochrome P450 system).
- Elimination:
The mean elimination half-life for oxazepam is 8.2 hours.
