Composition
Dithranol 1 mg/ 1 gm.

Indications
For the topical treatment of subacute and chronic
psoriasis including psoriasis of the scalp.

Dosage
Psoranol cream should be applied sparingly, and
only to the affected areas, once daily.

How Supplied
Aluminum tubes containing 20 or 50 gm cream with
white high density polyethylene plastic cover and an
inner leaflet.

Mechanism of action
Its precise mode of action is still to be confirmed, although it has been shown to inhibit
DNA replication, cellular respiration and key cellular enzymes e.g. glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase.

Special Populations
Pregnancy and Lactation:
Although there is no experimental evidence to support the safety of the drug in pregnancy or during lactation, no adverse effects have been reported.
Pediatric Use:
No additional special precautions are necessary.
Geriatric Use:
Use cautiously for the elderly, with regular supervision.
