Indications
Amilo plus is indicated for treatment of essential
hypertension.
Amilo plus is indicated in patients whose blood
pressure is not adequately controlled by monotherapy.
Amilo plus may also be used as initial therapy in
patients who are likely to need multiple drugs to
achieve their blood pressure goals.

Dosage
One tablet once daily.

Mechanism of action
Amlodipine
Amlodipine inhibits the entry of calcium ions into cardiac and vascular smooth muscle.
The mechanism of the antihypertensive action of amlodipine is due to a direct relaxant effect on vascular smooth muscle, causing reductions in peripheral vascular resistance and in blood pressure.
Valsartan
Valsartan is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist. It acts selectively on the AT1 receptor subtype, which is responsible for the known actions of angiotensin ll.
